This is done by the using a mix of flexible grids, images, layouts, and CSS media queries. By implementing this type of technology design, will automatically respond to user’s preference of viewing and makes it easy by not having different designs for different platforms.

3. Page Speed

Page speed can be described as the time it takes to load and display the full content, or the time it takes for your browser to get the first byte of information from the Server. But this depends on the user’s network speed.

4. Cloud

The term Cloud computing refers to storing and accessing data and application on the Internet rather than storing it on your system. The resources can be used based on the company’s needs and services.

5. AdWord/ AdSense

AdWord:

People who wish to sell their product or service can use this service from Google. AdWord displays your ad or product information next to the page that has relevant search information. So it is easy for the user to see all the relevant details in a same page. And, it helps in boosting your business.

AdSense:

People who like to display ad in their own website can use this service from Google and can make money from displaying the ads. AdSense is a repository of ads, and one who likes to display the ads has to sign up an account with Google and they will get a code for the ads. All they have to do is simply paste the code wherever they like to place the ad on their content.

6. Digital Marketing

Marketing the products and services through digital media like Internet, and phones is called Digital Marketing. It comprises all the forms from displaying the ad to selling the product, content, email marketing, e-commerce, etc.

7. Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

It is a process of how you display your content/service on the Internet in a way to attract more visitors to your website. It involves contents editing, HTML coding, having internal and external link and keywords that helps in indexing process in a search engine.

8. Search Engine Marketing (SEM)

Increasing your website visibility in search engine is called SEM. It helps in promoting your website when a search is made on the search engine.

9. SSL

Secured Socket Layer (SSL) provides secured connection between the server and host (user) web browser. This allows privacy and information like bank and credit card information are transferred secure and safe. SSL certificate are provided by the list of authorities that can be viewed here.

10. Website Security

Security of websites, servers, and application is called website security. A best security method has to be followed to protect the websites from the following threats, namely:
i) phishing
ii) hacker
iii) virus
iv) spam
v) adware

11. Webmaster

A person who creates and maintains the website is called a Webmaster. They should be well versed with technology and programming skills. In some organisation they even name it as web developer, site author, website administrator, website coordinator, and so on.

12. CMS (Content Management System)

It is an application where multiple users can create, and edit content using the same interface.  It has two components.

1.CMA – Content Management Application

It is the user interface that makes the user to interact and edit the content on website.

2. CDA – Content Delivery Application

It compiles the user entered information and displays it by updating the website. 

13. WordPress

It is a free and open source content management system. It is written on PHP an MySQL.  It is the popular blogging site that is available today. It is easy to create your own blogs from WordPress.

14. Magento

It is a software, where you can create your ecommerce site. The powerful features of this software are advanced marketing, catalog management tools, and SEO. It also takes control of the content, look and functionality of the online website store. The software is designed in a way that even common people can access and use it to develop their online website. 

15. Domain

Domain names are unique name given to the IP address. This defines the administrative authority or control within the internet. Domain shows the purpose of the entity. For example, in www.gmail.com, the gmail is the domain name. And the second part, .com is the top-level domain name and is refers to commercial. A list of TLD’s is described here.

16. Hosting (Server)

A server, for the business and serves the user needs. It can be maintained for single business or can be shared with other businesses depending on the needs of the business. Hosting servers are used for hosting games, images, files, websites, etc.

17. Database

A database is a collection of information. It can be of products, users, sales, contact, etc. It is in a format of table or reports. A DBMS (Database Management System) is the software that communicates and gets the necessary information from the database based on the user needs. Some DBMS are Access, Oracle, MySQL, Sybase, SAP Hana, etc.

18. Email Server

An email that is sent between the sender and the receiver passes through several mail servers to reach its destination recipient. Without these mail servers, you can only send mails to the same domain name, that is, yahoo to yahoo, gmail to gmail, etc. Mail servers are of three types and are SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol), POP3 (Post Office Protocol version 3), and IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol). SMTP serves the outgoing mail, and POP3 and IMAP are for incoming mails. POP3 is best known for its storing messages on hard drives.

19. WorkFlow

A workflow can be a picture, or document that explains the step by step activity of the real work. It is the basic concept that is followed in business to explain the flow of the work, and is easy to analyse and add if something is missing or need to be removed from the work.

20. CRM (Customer Relationship Management) Software

Customer Relationship Management is the term used for retaining and improving the customers in a way to increase the sales growth of the company. The CRM Software will combine all the details of the customer and maintains a CRM database. Some software can even record information from email, phone conversation, or even from social media sites. This CRM software helps in marketing and sales of products by contacting the customers automatically or manually depending on the need of the business.

21. DNS

Domain Name System is the naming system used for naming the websites and services on the internet. Usually, computers are identified with the IP address which is a numerical format like 45.255.145.112. It will be very confused to remember the numbers of the websites, and to solve this problem the DNS is introduced. For example, 206.190.36.45 is the IP address of Yahoo.com. Tell me which one of these is easy to remember, the name, or the number?

22. User Interface (UI)

Human can communicate with the system by user interface. For example, a person has to enter the desired numbers and operators in a calculator; it then does its operation and displays the result to you on its screen. The numbers and operators are referred as the interface, where the humans can perform the action. The input value/data that you give to the computer is user interface. It can be of different types like keyboards, touch screen, buttons, switches, voice commands, and many more.

23. User Experience (UX)

A service or a product is used by a person, and they share their experience about the product. The person who uses the product must know what needs to be done with the product. When errors occur it should be rectified easily and is useful to create better product that is more user friendly.

24. Typography

Typography is the process of displaying texts that appear on the webpage in a right format. It involves text type, font size, style, arrangement, letter spacing, numbers formatting, and etc.

25. IOT (Internet of Things)

Physical devices that we use in our daily life are connected through network by sensors and software. It can be a car, alarm, mobiles, or may be a person or a pet. Everything can be connected via network by the sensor chip and can be monitored in one place.
